How to Automate TikTok Slideshows With Shadarc
Build an Automation around a clear brief and suitable images. Keep publishing manual, save the Automation, then pause its schedules and save again before checking examples. Correct the settings for future posts and resume a schedule when you are comfortable with recurring output. Use manual publishing when every post needs your review.
Quick summary
To automate TikTok slideshows in Shadarc, create an Automation, choose its creative settings and images, then configure its schedule and publishing destination. With a connected TikTok account and Automatic publishing selected, Shadarc generates and publishes eligible slideshows using that configuration.
Before relying on recurring generation, make a manual example. In Delivery, choose Keep in Shadarc as the Destination, or set Publishing mode to Manual if a TikTok account is selected. New Automations include an active daily schedule and require at least one active schedule for their first save. Save once with these publishing settings, then reopen Delivery, pause every schedule, and choose Save changes again before testing. For an existing Automation, pause its schedules and save directly. The example gives you a chance to see what your instructions produce and whether the result is something you want to repeat.
Decide what can stay the same
Consider a creator making posts about small drawing exercises. The subject changes from a mug to a shoe to a houseplant. The audience stays the same: beginners who want something manageable to draw after work.
Several decisions can carry across those posts:
- Address someone with a pencil and a few spare minutes.
- Open with a specific object and exercise.
- Explain the exercise through the body slides.
- Keep the language simple and avoid judging the reader's ability.
- End with a small action they can try.
The individual drawings still matter. Automation cannot turn an unrelated image into a faithful demonstration of a technique.
Choose a starting configuration
Start from a Shadarc Template when its creative direction is close to yours, or create a custom configuration. A Template includes creative and visual defaults, so inspect the brief as well as the appearance.
Shadarc copies the Template configuration into your Automation. You can edit that configuration for this particular series. Treat it as the instructions for future posts, not just the design of the next image.
For the drawing series, a useful brief might read:
Write a beginner drawing exercise about observing an everyday object. Explain one action per body slide. Use ordinary language. Do not promise rapid improvement or describe a technique as shown in the images unless it is actually visible. Finish by inviting the reader to try the exercise with an object nearby.
That is a teaching example. Adjust it to the material you really have.
Match the media to the instructions
Choose a Public collection or your own images as appropriate for the post. Shadarc uses Hook, Body, and optional CTA roles, so think about what each part needs to show.
A general drawing prompt can use a photograph of an object. A tutorial about shading needs images that explain shading. If you only have decorative backgrounds, write an exercise that makes sense without pretending those backgrounds document the steps.
This distinction becomes more important when the same configuration will generate multiple posts. A misleading image rule can repeat just as reliably as a useful one.
For collection-based images, our guide to matching images to slideshow content explains how to prepare descriptions and use Match content. For the creative choices behind it, read how to automate slideshows while keeping images relevant.
Generate one slideshow manually
Read the result from beginning to end. Check whether the opening describes the exercise accurately, whether the instructions can be followed, and whether the images fit the text.
You can edit a manually generated slideshow's text and images before publishing. If a correction should apply to future posts, also revise the Automation's configuration. Editing one result is not the same as improving the instructions that produced it.
For example, if the copy keeps suggesting specialist drawing equipment, add the equipment constraint to the brief. Then inspect another result before relying on that configuration.
Choose between manual review and scheduled publishing
Keep schedules paused and Publishing mode on Manual if you want to inspect every slideshow before it goes live. This suits posts with specific demonstrations, changing facts, or material that needs individual attention.
When you are comfortable with the recurring configuration, open Delivery, adjust the schedule, and choose Resume. For automatic publishing, connect your TikTok account, select it as the destination, and choose Automatic under Publishing mode. Choose Save changes to apply your updated schedule and publishing settings. Eligible slideshows publish without a separate approval step. This setting applies to manually generated slideshows too.
Without a connected publishing destination, generated slideshows stay in Shadarc. You can work on the creative configuration before connecting an account.
Maintain the series as it changes
Revisit the brief when the audience, subject, or available images change. A configuration written for pencil sketches may need substantial edits before it can explain watercolor exercises.
Keep a note of recurring corrections. If you keep removing the same phrase or replacing the same kind of image, that is a reason to change the configuration rather than continue repairing each post.
The useful measure of automation is how much repeated preparation it removes while keeping the posts worth reading. Posting more often is only helpful when you still have something clear to say.
