Shadarc MCP: Build TikTok Slideshows From Your AI Agent
Connect Cursor, Claude Code or Codex to Shadarc, and your agent can build an Automation, preview its slides for free, make a test slideshow and rank your Automations by how their TikTok posts did. Shadarc asks it to keep new Automations paused and to check with you before it spends a credit. Available on paid plans.
Quick summary
Shadarc has an MCP server now. Connect it to Cursor, Claude Code or Codex, and your agent can build a slideshow Automation, preview its slides, make a test slideshow and tell you which of your Automations are actually getting views. It's available on the Starter and Pro plans.
If MCP is new to you, it's how AI agents connect to outside tools. Once Shadarc is connected, your agent sees the same Templates, Automations, collections, credits and analytics you see in the studio. You ask in plain words. The agent does the clicking.
What your agent can do
Most of what you'd do in the studio. Ask it to start an Automation from a Template, or describe the slideshow you have in mind and work out the setup together. Before any credit is spent, it can show you what the Hook, Body and CTA slides will look like. It can add your own images to a collection, pick images from your collections or a Public collection, and pause, resume or change an Automation.
Connecting TikTok accounts, buying credits and changing your plan stay in the studio. Your agent can't do any of those, and we think that's the right line to draw.
What costs a credit
One credit makes one AI slideshow, same as in the studio. Looking things up, previewing slides, and creating or editing an Automation are free. Credits are only spent when a slideshow is actually made: when you ask for one right away, or when an active Automation runs on its schedule.
So the cheap way to work is also the one Shadarc asks every agent to follow:
- Create the new Automation paused.
- Check with you, then make one test slideshow and show it to you.
- Turn the Automation on only after you say yes.
Posting is a separate switch. A finished slideshow goes to TikTok on its own only if its Automation has a TikTok account with auto-post turned on. Automations your agent creates start with auto-post off unless it turns it on. Auto-post works even while an Automation is paused, so leave it off while you're testing.
One caveat. That order is something Shadarc asks the agent to follow, not a lock. Read what your agent plans to do before you approve a step that spends a credit.
Copy a format, not a slideshow
Say a slideshow did well and you want more posts in that format. Save its slides, then ask your agent to reverse-engineer them into an Automation.
The agent reads every slide and works out the format: how many slides, what the hook does, how much text each slide carries, the font, the text style and where the text sits. Then it sets up an Automation and compares free previews against the original, adjusting until the layout matches. Only after that does it make a test slideshow, which you review next to the original.
It writes its own copy and doesn't reuse the creator's images. The images come from collections you choose, like your own uploads or a Public collection. Previews are small and watermarked. They're for checking the layout, not for posting.
Ask which Automations are working
If you already post with Shadarc, this is the part we'd try first. Every TikTok post is matched to the Automation that published it, so you can ask things like "Which Automation got the most views in the last 30 days?" or "What do the hooks of my best and worst posts have in common?"
Your agent can rank your Automations by the views and engagement of their posts, point out active Automations that haven't posted anything, and pull up any post's numbers, hook and slide text.
Reading analytics is free. Numbers sync on their own about every four hours. If you want them fresher, your agent can ask for a refresh, which counts against your plan's analytics allowance.
A ranking tells you what happened. It doesn't tell you why. Have the agent change one thing, then watch the next few posts before you change another.
Connect your agent
The MCP server is only available on paid plans for now. Compare the plans.
Create an API key in the studio under Settings → API keys. You only see it once, so copy it right away. On the same page, copy the setup prompt and paste it into your agent. The agent sets up the connection and tells you where to keep your key. Prefer to do it yourself? Follow the MCP setup guide for Cursor, Claude Code or Codex.
Treat the key like a password. Keep it out of chats and shared files. If it leaks, revoke it in Settings and make a new one.
For a first request, try: "Check my credits, list the Templates and suggest one for my niche. Don't spend any credits yet."
